Bradford, PA, November 5, 2008: American Refining Group, Inc. announced the promotion of Tim Brown, Richard Glady and William F. Murray to three new vice president positions effective October 1, 2008.
Tim Brown has been appointed Vice President of Refinery Products Sales and Marketing. In this position, Tim will be responsible for the development and oversight of sales and marketing strategies for all refinery products. In his prior position as Director of Refinery Sales, Tim worked to effectively transition sales of products from unhydrotreated materials to their new hydrotreated analogs. He has also successfully directed the sale of fuels and distillates in the volatile marketplace over the past few years.
Tim joined ARG in September 1999, and has held the positions of sales engineer/regional manager, product manager and Director of Refinery Sales. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and his MBA from Duke University. Tim resides in Toano, VA, with his wife, Tara, and their children, Kelly, Alexis, Anna, and Timmy.
Richard (Dick) Glady has been promoted to Vice President of Blended Lubricant Sales and Marketing. Dick will be responsible for directing sales and marketing activities for the company’s branded, private label and railroad engine oil lubricants. In his prior position as Director of Branded Lubricant Sales and Marketing, Dick grew the Brad Penn® and Gulf® brands of lubricants and successfully introduced a new line of racing oil products (The Green Oil ®) which has received excellent acceptance in the marketplace.
Dick started with ARG in July 1999, as the Director of Blended Lubricants for Gulf and Brad Penn. He has extensive experience in the industry having held senior marketing positions with Kendall Oil and Quaker State before joining ARG. Dick received his bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University. He resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife, Lee, and daughter, Moriah.
William F. (Bill) Murray has been appointed Vice President of Crude Oil Acquisition. Bill will be responsible for all of ARG’s crude oil acquisition activities, including direct supervision of the company’s crude oil terminal and transportation facilities in Ohio. Since joining ARG in 2004, Bill has secured our relationships with Ohio crude oil suppliers and has successfully built a crude oil trucking operation through acquisition and organic growth. Bill is also a Vice President of ARG Resources where he is responsible for oversight of the Company’s oil and gas drilling and production operations.
Bill was formerly Manager of Crude Oil Operations, Western Division for ARG. Bill held several management positions with Belden & Blake Corporation prior to joining ARG in 2004. He holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College in Marietta, OH. Bill resides in North Canton, OH, with his wife, Linda, and children, Cole, Morgan and Lucas.

All three vice presidents will report to Mr. Golubock.
American Refining Group’s Bradford Pennsylvania Refinery is the only refinery dedicated solely to processing 100% Pennsylvania Grade Crude Oil. In addition to gasoline and fuel oil, the refinery produces a complete line of distillate and naphtha solvents under the Kensol® brand, Kendex® brand lubricant baseoils, waxes, and Penn Grade resins, PennzSuppress® brand dust control agent and a variety of other petroleum specialties. ARG also produces a complete line of Brad Penn® Lubricants for consumer, commercial and industrial applications and is designated as the Master Distributor for Gulf® branded lubricants in an eleven-state region in the northeast. The Company is also a major producer of private label lubricants which are marketed under nationally recognized consumer and commercial brand names and is the largest producer of zinc-free diesel locomotive engine oils east of the Mississippi.
