BRMC Receives Half Million Dollar

Gift from ARG/Hallorans

Bradford, PA - Harry and Kay Halloran, The Halloran Foundation, and American Refining Group presented Bradford Regional Medical Center with an outright gift of $250,000 to support BRMC’s Building the Future Campaign.  This gift was matched through the generosity of the estates of two sisters, Dorothy Reed and Berdena Coit.  This combined gift provides a $500,000 distinguished naming opportunity to support Upbeat, the rehabilitation facility, located in the Outpatient Services Center.

“We strongly believe in supporting the continued growth of quality health care to the Bradford community.  Our employees live and work here, and are recipients of the services provided by BRMC.  Additionally, as a local employer, we maintain a close relationship with the hospital to support our Workers’ Compensation, Wellness and other health related programs,” stated Harry Halloran, Jr., CEO of ARG.

ARG has been generous in their support of BRMC since the inception of the Bradford Hospital Foundation.  The company’s past gifts include a contribution to Modernization 2005, a project that funded the upgrade of the hospital’s cardiac services unit.  ARG employees have contributed to the various memorials which benefit the mission of BRMC, according to Francie Ambuske, Director of the Bradford Hospital Foundation. ARG matches it’s employees contributions.

Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $14 million.  The Bradford Hospital Foundation’s Annual Giving, Planned Giving, and Memorial and Named Giving programs provide a variety of options for supporting BRMC’s efforts to fulfill its mission and vision by maintaining, upgrading, and developing new medical services, and capital improvements.

“ARG has been a very strong sponsor of the BRMC Charity Golf and Sporting Clay Classic for the past eleven years,” noted Ms. Ambuske.  This is one of the various special events the Foundation sponsors to benefit BRMC.

In 1989, the Bradford Hospital Foundation was created to support the mission of BRMC: Dedicated to improving the health of our community, and its vision: Committed to providing high quality, cost-effective health care to all persons in the communities we serve within McKean County and surrounding areas.
