Harry R. Halloran, Jr. / Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Halloran is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Refining Group. He is also the Chairman and CEO of ARG Resources. Mr. Halloran is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduating, he entered the Augustinian seminary for four years and earned an M.A. in Theology.
Mr. Halloran is the founder and CEO of Energy Unlimited, Inc. a company involved in the renewable energy field and has served on the Board of The American Wind Energy Association. Other past positions include Trustee of Villanova University, College of Commerce and Finance, and Trustee of The Academy of Natural Sciences. He is also the Founding Trustee of The Enlightened World Foundation and the Halloran Foundation. He is a member of the Caux Round Table and serves on the Board of The Journal of Ecumenical Studies.Mr. Halloran founded Halloran Philanthropies in 2007 with the belief that business is one of the most powerful drivers for positive social change. The purpose of Halloran Philanthropies is to help create a healthier world community that promotes economic development through microfinance, global business ethics and community service to revitalize low-income neighborhoods.
Harvey L. Golubock / President, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Golubock joined ARG as the President and Chief Operating Officer in 1997 when the Company purchased the Bradford refinery. Mr. Golubock is responsible for the overall operation of the Bradford Refinery. Mr. Golubock is also President of ARG Resources. Prior to joining ARG, Mr. Golubock spent 28 years with Witco Corporation and held many senior positions including Vice President of Witco's Lubricant Group. Prior to Witco, Mr. Golubock worked at Gulton Industries and Permutit Company. Mr. Golubock served for seven years as Chairman of the Board of Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems and still serves as a member of the Board of Directors; Co-Chairman of the Bradford Area Alliance; and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Advisory Board of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Mr. Golubock received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from City College of New York and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.
John C. Trinkl / Senior Vice President
In 1980, Mr. Trinkl assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of ARG. He is responsible for the Company's banking relationships, insurance, benefits, investments, and the preparation of financial statements for budgetary and strategic purposes. In January 2007 Mr. Trinkl preferred a reduced work schedule and accordingly resigned as CFO and Treasurer but retained his risk management responsibilities for corporate insurance, benefits and hedging strategies.
Prior to joining ARG, Mr. Trinkl served as Vice President of the Special Finance Division at First Pennsylvania Bank. Mr. Trinkl earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics at St. Joseph's University in 1967 and received an M.B.A. in Marketing/ Finance at Temple University in 1969.
Jeannine T. Schoenecker / Vice President of Accounting, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Schoenecker joined ARG as Assistant Controller in 1985. Later that year, she assumed the position of Controller and in 1991 she was promoted to Vice President of Accounting. Ms. Schoenecker assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer in 2008. She is responsible for banking relationships, and the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, daily operations of the accounting department and for all federal and state tax compliance and reporting. She is also responsible for purchasing, logistics and information technology. Ms. Schoenecker is also President of AR Trucking and a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. Ms. Schoenecker holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Donald A. Keck / Vice President of Refining
Mr. Keck joined ARG as the Manager of Refinery Operations in 1997 and was named Vice President of Refinery Operations in 1998. Mr. Keck is responsible for all aspects of the refinery operations including processing, maintenance and Engineering. Prior to joining ARG, Mr. Keck spent 11 years working in the Bradford facility for Witco Corporation, serving as Manager of Engineering. Mr. Keck received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
Robert C. Esch / Vice President of Blending and Packaging
Mr. Esch was named Vice President of Blending and Packaging in 1998. He is responsible for all of the Lubes Group's blending and packaging operations in addition to day-to-day manufacturing operations. Mr. Esch is also responsible for container and label design and private label cost estimates. Mr. Esch received a B.A. degree from St. Bonaventure University.
John Robinson / Vice President Business Development
Mr. Robinson was named Vice President of Sales in 1998. He served in that role from 1998 – 2008 during which time he was responsible for the marketing of all of ARG’s products, including lubricant base oil, private label motor oils, Brad Penn brand lubricants, naphtha and distillate solvents, waxes and various other petroleum specialties. In 2008 he was promoted to V.P. of Business Development where he is responsible for New Product Development, Specialty Product Sales, Government Relations, and has been involved in new ventures and evaluating strategic growth opportunities. Mr. Robinson has over thirty years experience in the chemical and petroleum industries. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Daemen College (Buffalo).
Richard Glady / Vice President Lubricants Sales and Marketing
Mr Glady joined ARG in 1999 as Director of Branded Lubricants Sales and Marketing and was responsible for developing sales of Brad Penn, Gulf and Unbranded Lubricants through distributors. In 2008, he was promoted to Vice President Branded Lubricants Sales and Marketing and is currently responsible for Brad Penn, Gulf, Unbranded Lubricants, Private Label and Railroad Oils. Mr Glady has over 25 years experience in the lubricants industry and previously held the positions of Director of Marketing for Witco’s Lubricant Business Unit including Kendall, Amalie, Lubrimatic and Southwest Grease; and Director of Sales and Marketing for Quaker State’s Fleet, Commercial, Industrial and Chemical Division. He holds a B.S. Degree from Slippery Rock University.
Timothy Brown / Vice President of Refinery Sales and Marketing
Mr. Brown was named Vice President of Refinery Sales and Marketing in 2008. He is responsible for the sale and marketing of ARG’s refinery outputs including: fuels, solvents, base oils and waxes. Prior to being appointed a Vice President, Mr. Brown held the position of Director of Refinery Sales. Mr. Brown has over 15 years of experience in the lubricant and petroleum industries. He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Connecticut and a M.B.A. from Duke University.
Steven Sherk / Vice President of Compliance
Mr. Sherk joined ARG as Environmental Manager in 2000 and served in that position until 2003. From November 2003 until July 2004 he served as Environmental and Safety Manager. In July 2004, Mr. Sherk assumed leadership for ARG’s environmental, health and safety compliance and was named Vice President of EHS Compliance. Mr. Sherk holds a B. S. degree in Environmental Science from Slippery Rock State University in PA, graduating in 1976. Mr. Sherk formerly served as HSE Manager at a Honeywell Corp. facility in Farmer’s Valley, PA prior to joining ARG.
William Murray / Vice President Crude Oil Acquisition
Mr. Murray joined ARG as Manager of Crude Oil Operations, Western Division in 2004 and was named Vice President of Crude Oil Acquisition in 2008. He is responsible for all ARG crude supply and acquisition activities including the company’s crude terminal and gathering operations in Ohio. Mr. Murray is also responsible for the crude purchasing, disbursement, and administration functions with staff located in Bradford, PA. Mr. Murray is also Vice President of ARG Resources. Prior to joining ARG, Mr. Murray served as VP Exploration and Production at Belden & Blake Corporation. Mr. Murray earned a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College in Ohio.
Richard Smith / Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. Smith joined ARG as Vice President and General Counsel in 2008. He had previously been a partner in the Philadelphia law firm of Duane Morris, practicing corporate law, and had represented ARG as outside counsel for more than 20 years. Mr. Smith received his law degree from Boston University in 1980, and is a 1973 graduate of Dartmouth College.
